131Our Know-How

219Raffia is a natural fiber extracted from the leaves of the raffia palm, an iconic tree of Madagascar. Once dried and worked, it becomes a flexible, durable material, hand-woven by our artisans.220Each Tikou piece takes several hours of careful weaving. Raffia is sometimes paired with leather, to reinforce certain finishes or add an extra touch.221Because every creation is handmade, slight variations (shade, texture, weave) may exist from one piece to another — they're part of what makes each piece unique, not a flaw.
